Meet The Team

Everyone’s love for outdoor fitness and training sessions has been reignited thanks to lockdowns and restrictions. As such, our TRL FIT community is growing. If you haven’t already, please give a warm welcome to our newest head trainer, Lara!  

Lara joins the team as a seasoned health and fitness professional with a background in creating personalised fitness programs, group fitness and helping people get started on their fitness journey. She has been a certified trainer for over 4 years now, with a Certificate III & IV in Fitness. More recently she has qualified as a Les Mills BODYBALANCE instructor.

Before becoming a fitness instructor, Lara represented Australia in athletics for the 100m and 200m sprints. Unfortunately, due to major hamstring injuries, she had to end her athletics career. She has always had a burning passion for sport, health and fitness. While she couldn’t use that passion to drive her own training anymore, she wanted to use it to help others along their health and fitness journeys.

For those who are new to TRL FIT, you may not have had the chance to meet Jimmy yet. He is the life of the party and brings all the vibes to our classes and community. He first became a PT in 2019 and in the last 18 months, he has also been running his own PT business and has become a Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach with ASCA (Australian Strength and Conditioning Association). 

 

 

Jimmy has a background in training for ultra-endurance events and also likes to do a bit of CrossFit style training too. His passion for his own wellbeing and desire to help others with his knowledge from years of his training lead him down the Personal Trainer career path. You’ll find Jimmy’s sessions and coaching style are quite challenging, fun and intense!

Last, but not least, our other trainer part of the awesome TRL FIT team is Michael. You’ll find him running the Friday morning sessions. He brings a strong sports focus to his sessions. Michael has been a PT for over 10 years now. He is also a Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach and Level 2 Boxing for Fitness Coach. He specialises in the following types of training:

  • Group Training
  • 1:1 training
  • Muscle mass and weight loss
  • Nutrition
  • Sports specific training

 

Michael’s passion for health and fitness began when he was 18. Early in his career, he was involved with the professional Rugby League team, the Newcastle Knights. From playing at such an elite level, he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that he now passes on to his clients today. Michael is passionate and dedicated to helping his clients achieve results beyond what they thought was possible!
